Chinese athletes continued to make the host nation proud on Tuesday, after clinching six golds at the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province.

Two Chinese pairs, Feng Junxi and Wang Xue, and Xu Mengtao and Chen Meiting, secured the top two spots in the Women's Aerials Synchro Freestyle Skiing final. Feng and Wang won the title with 87.12 points, less than three points ahead of runners-up Xu and Chen. The bronze went to Ardana Makhanova and Ayana Zholdas of Kazakhstan.

Liu Mengting led a 1-2-3 sweep for China in the Women's Freeski Slopestyle competition. She claimed top honours with 94.00 points, while Yang Ruiyi grabbed second place and Han Linshan rounded out the podium.

Chinese speed skaters also enjoyed another fruitful day, pocketing all four golds on offer.

Ning Zhongyan continued his dominance on the track by winning the Men's 1,000m final in 1:08.81, holding off silver medallist Cha Min-kyu of the Republic of Korea and Chinese compatriot Lian Ziwen, who earned bronze.

Han Mei finished first in the Women's 1,500m final in 1:15.85, edging out Chinese countrywoman Yin Qi by 0.23 seconds to take the top spot on the podium. Lee Nah-yun of the ROK ended up in third place.

The host nation grabbed both the Men's and Women's Team Pursuit titles as well. Liu Hanbin, Wu Yu and Hanahati Muhamaiti beat Team ROK and Team Japan in the Men's final, while Yang Binyu, Ahenaer Adake and Han took the Women's title against the same pair of East Asian rivals.
