On December 15,2023 Lan Feng, Member of the CPC Harbin Standing Committee and Head of the Municipal Publicity Department went to Harbin's main winter tourist attractions to inspect the progress of the construction of snow and ice sites and safety work and convey greetings to the frontline working staff.

At the Songhua River Ice and Snow Carnival construction site, Lan Feng stressed that relevant units should pay close attention to the upstream and downstream sewage and hot water discharge, check the ice thickness, ensure the safety of the construction and sound operation of the equipment, and improve the management of the public order on the ice, so as to breathe new life into Songhua River Ice and Snow Carnival's brand image and create a healthy, safe and orderly environment for tourists.

At the Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo, Lan Feng inspected the construction of various snow sculptures and checked the operation situation of the Expo, the composition of tourists, and the safety working plan. She stressed that the staff should take practical and effective measures to prevent tourists and staff from falling, frostbite, crowding and so on.

At the construction site of the Ice and Snow World, dozens of tower cranes and machines and over 10,000 workers are working at full speed so as to meet tourists as early as possible. Lan Feng carefully listened to the report of the head of the park and checked the construction, planning and safety work of the site. She stressed that the working group should aim at world-class standards and finish the construction at a high level. It is necessary to focus on the details, put legs into the tourists' shoes, strengthen service management, and ensure that the service is standardized, detailed, easy to get and humanized. It is necessary to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality, and improve tourists' experience and satisfaction. It is necessary to make emergency plans, improve the emergency mechanism, flexibly organize traffic flow, calculate the maximum carrying capacity of the park, offer safety tips, and eliminate possible safety hazards in time to protect the personal property of tourists.

Lan Feng stressed that all scenic spots and relevant units should follow the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on developing cultural tourism with characteristics on his inspection tours of Heilongjiang and fully implement the deployment requirements of the provincial and municipal Party Committee as well as the provincial and municipal government on the "100-day action" initiative for winter snow and ice tourism. She demands the working group to effectively coordinate resources, highlight Harbin's characteristics, expand the influence of ice and snow tourism brand, and promote the healthy and orderly development of the Harbin winter tourism market.
