On 10January2025, a working meetingbetween the OCA and19 Functional Areas(FAs) of HAWGOC was held. It was organised byInternational Relations Department of HAWGOC and presided over by the department director Mr Gao Yueming. Meeting attendees included Mr Ganesan Sundaram Moorthy, Representative and Manager of Sports Department of the OCA，representatives from COC and staff members of the 19 FAs.

At the meeting, representatives from the 19 FAs provided updates on their latest preparations, covering OCA FamilyServices, NOC Services,Arrivals & Departures, Transport, Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Medical &Anti-doping, Accreditation, Security,andTicketing, etc. Mr Ganesan, the OCA Representative to Harbin 2025, fully recognised Harbin’s efforts in the early stages of Games preparation and offeredspecific guidance on key preparation issues, supporting HAWGOCin strengthening the capabilities of each FA to ensure a successful Games and in showcasing the positive image of Harbin as the host city. The meeting, which lasted for more than 10 hours,marked amilestone as it was the finalworking meeting betweenthe OCA and HAWGOC concerning all FAsbeforethe Games.

At the invitation of International Relations Department of HAWGOC,Mr Ganesan had participated in the full-process drills forArrivals & Departures and Spectating on 8 and 9 January 2025, respectively, gaining first-hand experience of Harbin 2025. Next, International Relations Department will coordinate more drills for Mr Ganesan to participate in and organise one-on-one meetings between the OCAand relevant  FAs, aiming to help them “identify shortcomings and gaps” and ensure smooth Games-time operations.
