I. Basic information
Harbin Pingfang District Curling Arena (formerly known as Pingfang District Ice Hockey Arena) belongs to Harbin Education Bureau and is located in Nancheng First Primary School at the intersection of Puhui Avenue and Hanan Nine Road, Pingfang District, Harbin. The museum was built in 2017, with a total construction area of 9311.32 square meters, including the teaching building area of 4949.93 square meters and the ice hockey arena construction area of 4338.77 square meters. On the basis of rational use of the original facilities, Pingfang Curling Arena has carried out scientific renovation in accordance with the requirements of "simple, safe and wonderful" and the requirements of the 9th Asian Winter Games curling events.
II. Historical achievements
A. Event hosting
The former Pingfang District Ice Hockey Arena has successfully held more than 100 events such as the 2020 Harbin "Golden Eagle Cup" ice hockey match and the 2020-2021 Pingfang District primary and secondary School Ice Hockey League and ice hockey skills Competition, providing thousands of ice training and competitions for professional and amateur sports teams and the public on average every year, with a total of tens of thousands of ice players.
B. Athlete training
The former Pingfang District Ice Hockey Arena has sent 277 talents to the national, provincial and municipal ice hockey teams, and trained 77 national athletes, of which 25 were selected to the national Women's Ice Olympic preparation team and the national Youth women's ice hockey team, and 17 were selected to the women's ice hockey team of Heilongjiang Province Sports Team. The Arena was named "China Women's Ice Hockey Team Reserve talent Training Base" by the State General Administration of Sport, and awarded the title of "Promoting '300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports' base" by the Heilongjiang Provincial Ice and Snow Industry Research Institute.
III. Venue function
A. Competition function
Through the maintenance and renovation and the construction of functional temporary facilities, the use function of the Curling Arena has been further improved. The stadium sports lighting, broadcast sound reinforcement and other sports technology facilities all meet the standards of hosting international events, and can meet the needs of professional competitions, amateur competitions, professional training and other different levels of competition.
B. Spectator Viewing
The audience seats are located on the west side of the curling arena, with a good viewing angle and good vision. A total of 216 seats are set in the stadium, taking into account the needs and comfort of the event, making full use of space and setting reasonable spacing to create a comfortable watching environment for the audience.
C. Media publicity
The TV observation seats and print media seats of the curling arena are located in the south of the mixed interview area, where electricity, communication, lighting and temporary facilities are placed to meet the needs of TV broadcast and media operation.
