On September 16, Yu Hongtao, member of the Standing Committee of the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Harbin Municipal Party Committee, visited Yabuli to inspect the preparations for the Asian Winter Games. He paid visit to builders working on the front line during the Mid-Autumn festival, inspected the progress of the project, and solved problems on the spot. Yu Hongtao emphasized the importance to fully implement the principle of "simple, safe, and wonderful" of Winter Olympic games, stressed the sense of urgency and responsibility, highlighted problem-orientation approach, strengthened overall coordination to accelerate progress, raise standards, and to ensure that the goals and tasks will be completed on schedule and with high quality.

Wang Hesheng, Deputy Secretary of the Harbin Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Harbin, made work arrangements. Municipal leaders of Harbin, like Wang Tieli, Zhang Haihua, Tan Lewei, and Zhao Gang participated in the inspection.

Yu Hongtao visited Yabuli West Station, South Station and Yabuli Station to inspect the maintenance and renovation of the railway station. He said that the railway station was an important window to showcase the city's image and serve the event. We must put quality and safety on priority, pay attention to the improvement of hardware and software, and coordinate the rectification inside and outside the station and complete the renovation of various infrastructure as soon as possible. He pointed out that we need to standardize the setting of signs and coordinate the comprehensive management of the surrounding environment to make the landscape and environment harmonious. We must make good use of the Asian Winter Olympics elements to create a strong atmosphere and strive to create an image with convenient facilities, fine services, and civilized and orderly manner.

The maintenance and renovation of the athletes' village, media village, and snow sports venues in the Yabuli competition area are being carried out in full swing. Yu Hongtao inspected the project progress and urged builders to strictly implement the requirements of the event and do a good job in facility commissioning and environmental protection testing. He pointed out that we must check the water, electricity, gas, heat and other guarantee systems carefully, keep a close eye on the project nodes to guarantee the transition of construction and management, so as to start the venue operation as soon as possible. Besides, we need to find problems and make rectifications through test matches, trial runs, and third-party evaluations to comprehensively improve the venue operation management and event service capabilities.

During the inspection, Yu Hongtao presided over a meeting in which the Asian Winter Games Executive Committee, Yabuli Management Committee and other departments made work reports, and they jointly studied how to promote the preparatory work. The meeting emphasized that the work of the Asian Winter Games has reached a critical period of "non-stop and no mistake allowed". The whole city, with all industries and fields included, should raise its working standards, and accelerate the progress and construction period to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule. It is necessary to highlight the problem-orientation approach, go deep into the front line to decisively take responsibility to solve problems, focus on the overall situation and make full plans meticulously. It is essential to strengthen the sense of responsibility and form a working synergy, with municipal leaders taking the lead, the Executive Committee strengthening coordination, supervision and guidance, each special working groups making breakthroughs, and each system streamlining the links. Yu Hongtao also visited the Yaxue Highway and Heping Road reconstruction sites to inspect the progress of supporting facilities improvement and regional environmental upgrade, and went to Shangzhi Second People's Hospital to check the medical support preparations for the Asian Winter Games and put forward requirements for specific work.
