Harbin, China, December 23, 2024: The Organising Committee of the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China next February concluded the Alpine Skiing test event on Sunday, December 22.

The test event was part of the "Dynamic Harbin" Winter Sports Events Series and was hosted by HAWGOC and the Heilongjiang Sports Bureau, with support from the Heilongjiang Yabuli Sports Training Base where the competition took place.

Liu Xiaochen and Zhang Yuying won the championship of men’s and women’s slalom, respectively.
The Alpine Skiing test event focused on the slalom eventsand tested the functionsof Sports, Timing&Scoring, Medical, Rescue, Communications, Security, Venue Operations, Venues &Infrastructure, Yabuli Ski Resort, Meteorology Services and Language Services.
HAWGOC told a press conference on Monday, December 23 that they had completed seven of 14 planned test events leading up to the 9th AWG, which will be held from February 7-14, 2025. The seven included ice hockey and curling.
There will be six sports, 11 disciplines and 64 events at Harbin 2025, with 32 ice events in Harbin and 32 snow events in Yabuli, around 190km away by high-speed train.
