The Organising Committee of the 9th Asian Winter Games held a press conference in Harbin, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, on Wednesday, to deliver the introduction to the local booming winter sports industry.

"The venues were all repaired and renovated using the original facilities," said Deputy Secretary General Zhuang Shichao of the Organising Committee. "At the same time, the concept of green development was instilled into them. The venue renovation used energy-saving and environmentally friendly building materials and green and low-carbon building technology. Clean energy and environmentally friendly products were widely used in all aspects of society. They were certified by international experts. On the other hand, our professional venues received guidance from the technical representatives of the international sports associations during the renovation process.
